Day 1 : Arrive Los Angeles 0 mi / 0 km

Day 2 : Los Angeles - Palm Springs 190 mi / 306 km

Day 3 : Palm Springs - Laughlin, NV 232 mi / 374 km

Day 5 : Grand Canyon, AZ - Monument Valley ( Mexican Hat ) , AZ 170 mi / 274 km

Day 6 : Monument Valley ( Mexican Hat ) , AZ - Bryce Canyon, UT 340 mi / 547 km
We spent the morning in the Grand Canyon to enjoy the fantastic views. Then we move on a few miles along the South Rim and left the Grand Canyon National Park by the east entrance . We are facing the incredible Monument Valley. This is the land of the Navajos and are here to enjoy an authentic Navajo food. The classic Wild West landscape of rugged sandstone rocks and towering pinnacles of rock poking from an endless expansion of drifting red sands , has an archetypal image . Only when we got to Monument Valley we realize that our perception of the West has been totally shaped by this place. We can see this scenario in many parts but nowhere can be so perfect. We headed to Kayenta, where we spent the night. Maybe we dream of an Indian ritual. . .

Day 7 : Bryce Canyon, UT - Las Vegas, NV 250 mi / 403 km

Day 9 : Las Vegas, NV - Mammoth Lake, CA 315 mi / 507 km

Day 10: Mammoth Lake, CA - Yosemite (El Portal) , CA 150 mi / 242 km
From Las Vegas we go westward towards Death Valley - the hottest place on earth ! Day 15 : Pismo Beach CA - Los Angeles, CA 225 mi / 362 km
